Payments platform Adyen enables Dutch businesses to offer Apple Pay, providing them with an easy and secure way to pay online, in-app and in-store. Businesses enabling Apple Pay through Adyen in The Netherlands include BCC, citizenM, G-Star RAW, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Pathé Cinema, Thuisbezorgd.nl and Wehkamp.

Adyen has been supporting businesses to bring Apple Pay to their customers since 2014 and into over 30 markets including Australia, Singapore, Brazil, UK, France, Switzerland and most recently Luxembourg.

According to our data, businesses offering Apple Pay benefit from higher conversion rates whilst customers gain integrated security through tokenization and biometric verification. With the market moving to strong authentication mechanisms (SCA as part of PSD2 regulation) this September in Europe, Apple Pay is ready to go and provides even more choice for cardholders and merchants without affecting conversion
Edgar Verschuur, Adyen Head of Global Acquiring

Merchants can easily enable Apple Pay globally with single integration to Adyen.

When you use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
