The #ShopSmall Accelerator, powered by TikTok and American Express features popular TikTok creators providing insights into customers’ shopping habits
American Express partnered TikTok to launch the #ShopSmall Accelerator. The initiative is supposed to help small business owners reach a new generation of shoppers on the viral video platform.
TikTok advertisers based in the U.S. can enroll by December 24, 2022. The participants get a chance to earn a $100 TikTok advertising credit in return for buying $50 in TikTok ads. Furthermore, small business owners will access tools and resources on how their businesses can stand out on the platform.
In particular, creators will teach small business owners how to use TikTok as a search engine as well as leverage sounds, trends, hashtags and communities to attract the audience. The business community will also learn the ropes of driving engagement with users.?
In addition, American Express has partnered with musical artist Chl?e Bailey. Her “Shop Small Soundtrack” which TikTok users can add to their content will help small businesses get discovered by new audiences.
