eBay will expand payment management for merchants in Greater China, as part of modernizing its marketplace and creating a more streamlined customer experience. Starting in April 2021, the company will offer buyers more flexibility and choice of payment methods. It will also provide sellers with an easier way to manage their business.

eBay has started managing payments on its US platform for a selective group of sellers in September 2018, followed by Germany, the UK, Australia, and Canada. Besides, the company recently revealed that it will expand its payments management to France, Italy, and Spain in Q1 2021 and continue to expand globally throughout the year.

According to data, eBay will offer buyers a variety of payment options, including credit cards and PayPal. Apple Pay will be available as a payment function on iPhone and iPad in the app. Google Pay will be available on ebay.com and its Android app.

As to sellers, they will be offering customers more choice and payment options, and allowing customers around the world to pay in the way that suits them best.

We’ve reported that eBay transformed a gas station in East Hollywood into a drive-thru Authentication Station.
