Huawei Mobile Services and Mondia Pay have partnered to facilitate digital payments in Tunisia and Algeria, according to Intelligent CIO.

This comes as a breather for Huawei device users who can pay for their applications, latest games and even monthly services on Huawei AppGallery. Customers will use Direct Carrier Billing Services (DCB) to make the payments.

Mondia Pay has over 2.1 billion global users. The firm aims to ensure that users in North Africa have convenient, secure and contactless remittance options. The integration has led to increased DCB coverage as well as In-App Purchases capabilities globally.

Through the partnership, the two firms will deliver payments solutions and innovative digitalization, a move that will enable communities in Africa to move to cashless payment methods.

The service is already in use with several DCB providers including Etisalat UAE, Vodafone Egypt and Ufone Pakistan.

We’ve reported that French consumers express strong interest in installment payments.
