Google has announced plans to once again give users the ability to generate images of people as part of applying its artificial intelligence tool called Gemini.

Google to Relaunch Tool for Creating AI-Generated Images of People

On Wednesday, August 28, Dave Citron, a senior director of products on Gemini, announced in a blog post that early access to the new Imagen 3 generator will be available to consumers in the coming days. Users of Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise will have access to the mentioned tool. The exact relaunch date for the AI ??tool that generates images of people is still unknown.

Dave Citron said that Google has worked on technical improvements to the product, improved evaluation sets, red-teaming exercises, and clear product principles. It is worth clarifying that Red-teaming refers to a practice firms use to test products for vulnerabilities.

It is worth mentioning that this year, Google had to stop the process of functioning its AI-based image generation tool. At that time, the technology giant said that inaccuracies were detected in the mentioned process. In this case, the errors are related to the AI ??tool’s poor knowledge of world history. Examples of such errors, some of which were clearly egregious, were shared on social media platforms. These examples made it impossible for the technology giant not to acknowledge the problem. One user asked the mentioned tool to generate an image of a German soldier in 1943. In response to this request, the AI ??provided an image of soldiers of different races in German military uniforms.

Dave Citron stated that Imagen 3 doesn’t support photorealistic identifiable individuals, depictions of minors, or excessively gory, violent, or sexual scenes.

As we have reported earlier, Google Launches Pixel 9 Phones.
