Shopify and the Government of Canada have launched ‘Go Digital Canada’ initiative to shift small businesses online.

Go Digital Canada is a central resource hub that enables Canadian entrepreneurs to launch their business online for free with an extended 90-day trial.

Besides, they can access a suite of resources and tools to build their store including step-by-step guidance with Shopify Compass, live webinars, and 24/7 support.

Business owners can adapt their stores to suit their individual needs by setting up online payments, gift cards, local pickup/delivery options, and launching free email marketing campaigns.

As Canadians, we are resilient – finding solutions where others just see a challenge. Our government is working hard to harness this entrepreneurial spirit and help Canadians turn their innovative ideas into successful businesses – and help them rebuild in the months to come. Shopify is an incredible made-in-Canada success story, and their work to help Canadian entrepreneurs go digital, as we increasingly shift online in response to COVID-19, will help create even more Canadian success stories. Now is Canada’s time
Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade

We’ve reported that Walmart has announced its partnership with Shopify thus expanding its product catalogs and allowing Shopify to sell on its marketplace.
