The company revealed that it started planning the initiative a year ago
Walmart has teamed up with online resale platform ThredUp to offer nearly 750,000 pre-owned items on the website.
The retailer launched this initiative during the lockdown since the pandemic made customers become more budget-conscious.
Walmart highlighted that items have been carefully evaluated and selected by ThredUP for sale based on their overall quality and condition. Therefore, only pre-owned garments and shoes deemed “new” or “like new” are available on Walmart.com.
“Gently used” accessories and handbags are available as well.
